Nature's Cuppa Tea Bags
How to make the perfect Nature's Cuppa from tea bags. Tea bags were invented in the U.S. in the early 1900's , initially as small, individual silk bags of tea. Replaced by filter papers, today almost all tea consumed is from tea bags. Nature's Cuppa uses only unbleached filter paper to ensure no chemical residues can appear in the tea.
WATER
Never use previously boiled water as its chemical compositions changes and it becomes acidic. Use ONLY fresh, cold water. Warm the cup with hot water before making the tea.
PREPARATION
- Add one teabag per cup and fill with boiling water.
- Don't be hasty, the darkness of the brew is not an indicator of its strength.
- Allow between 3 - 5 minutes for full infusion, bringing the tea to its full flavour and colour.
- Once brewed for this time, remove the tea bag. Over infused tea releases too much tannin and tastes bitter.
- Enjoy straight (black) or add milk or lemon to taste.

Nature's Cuppa Perfect Iced Tea
Iced tea has become one of America's favourite beverages for summertime refreshment and stimulation. Nature's Cuppa black and green tea make delicious iced tea with a taste that's superior to ordinary tea.
PREPARATION
- Firstly, because adding ice will further dilute the brew, 50% more tea needs to be used so a 4 cup size jug will need 6 bags, not 4.
- As for tea bag preparation, brew the tea for 5 minutes, then remove bags, If using loose leaf tea, it must be strained into the jug. Add sugar to taste and stir to dissolve.
- Let the tea cool to room temperature (about an hour). It can be cooled in the refrigerator, but it may turn cloudy, a characteristic of quality tea, although the taste will be unaffected.
SERVING
- Half fill a tumbler with ice and fill with the prepared tea.
- Pop in slice of lemon and/or a sprig of mint to add appetite appeal and flavour enhancement.
- The tea flavour will remain at its peak for 6-8 hours, and after that gradually decline.

Making the perfect pot of Nature's Cuppa
WATER

PREPARATION
- Add one heaped teaspoon per cup/person, plus "one for the pot". Fill pot with boiling water.
- Don't be hasty, the darkness of the brew is not an indicator of its strength. Allow between 5-6 minutes for the leaves to open and infuse, bringing the tea to its full flavour and colour.
- Once brewed for this time, pour into pre-warmed cups. Over infused tea releases too much tannin and tastes bitter.
Enjoy straight (black) or add milk or lemon to taste. |
